Go Yankees!

I'm a big fan of the Blue Jays, but it's October and they haven't been playing ball in this month since the 1993 World Series. So, as a baseball fan, I'm left to choose one team to cheer for throughout this year's playoffs and I've chosen the New York Yankees. The reasoning for this is twofold. One, they are the best team out there right now and two, they closely resemble my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Why do they resemble the best franchise in the NHL? Let me explain it to you in three simple ways:

1. The Yankees are the most hated team in the major leagues.

The Leafs are the most hated team in the NHL (Philadelphia comes close but who really cares about them).

2. The Yankees have a bitter rivalry with the Red Sox.

The Leafs have a bitter rivalry with the Senators.

3. The Yankees always beat the Red Sox in the playoffs.

The Leafs always beat the Senators in the playoffs.

So you see my friends, when choosing a team to cheer for, whether it's baseball, basketball or football, one must take into account the hockey factor. That is, one should compare which team closely resembles one's favourite hockey team. So if you are a Senators fan and you like football, your team would be the 0 and 6 Miami Dolphins. And of course you have the Red Sox for baseball. There's also the L.A. Clippers if you like basketball. Although if you want to cheer for a local team, the Raptors are good too. I mean bad.
